    new to the dea?

The DEA(e) is a well established network involving leading oil and gas companies (both operators and service companies). The main aim of the association is to improve access to and use of drilling technology on a worldwide basis through ongoing knowledge sharing and supply chain stimulation.. For more, please go to Objectives and benefits.

The format of the DEA(e) revolves around four meetings – one each quarter. Each meeting lasts one and a half days. The first day is based around a technical theme. The 2nd half day will be based around three types of presentations:

    • R&D proposals
    • Underused technologies
    • “on the cusp of commercial” technologies

DEA(e) members have access to a full range of information held on a documents library in the Members only area. Details contained in the document libraries include:

    • previous workshop agendas and minutes
    • previous presentations
    • details of the next meeting being organised

For the DEA(e) to be successful, the Association welcomes direct involvement from the research community. R&D suppliers have their own part of the website.
